My report this Sunday is one of relocation and more wind. I was able to guide Friday on a Devils Lake before the hurricane and we did well. I’m now relocated to Lake Sakakawea so we will h
Ave about a month worth of reports from here.
Before I talk about Lake Sakakawea let’s get to what I saw on Devils before leaving. Still a strong bobber bite on Devils. Things are just starting to change a little and bottom bouncers with spinners or for us the PK Dakota Disc shined. Both crawlers and leeches were working evenly. Like I said I’ll be up on Sakakawea ow for a bit so my Devils Lake reports will taper for a bit.
Haven’t been able to fish Sakakawea yet. I am jumping into an Aim out of Parshall, ND Sunday (the same day this will post) so I’ll have a little better Sakakawea report in my mid week report on Wednesday. I begin a pretty long stretch of trips starting Monday.
Sounds like Sakakawea is firing up pretty good. Still catching fish in the shallow water and I would anticipate it staying good. We should also see a pretty good number of fish showing up out a little deeper. Of course all this depends on the wind. Lots of water on the way also. This will definitely mix things up a bit, but that’s all good considering how low the lake is currently.
Super excited for the next few back on the big lake! I’ll keep everyone informed. Also have a few August openings for Devils and Sakakawea. I’m also beginning to book some late fall walleye trips on the Missouri River near Bismarck.
