It’s been good! Bug hatches, tons of new food like baby perch and white bass, lots of fresh water shrimp, yet the walleyes on Devils Lake just continue to bite!

What’s working? Well, it’s Devils Lake. Seems like whatever you like to use will work! What’s working best? In my opinion if you want to put fish in the boat pull a bouncer abs spinners tipped with crawlers. If you want to catch some bigger fish, pull crankbaits. The weed lines are definitely producing and so is old shoreline structure.

I will be headed back to Sakakawea for about 10 days and it sounds like that is also on fire. I’ll be able to bring you a report on the Big Lake in my next few reports.

My dates are filling in fast, I do however have some random openings in September. I’m also starting to book late fall Missouri River trips near Bismarck and also ice fishing trips up on Devils Lake. Get ahold of me if you are interested!

I'm on the 18th tee box for the winter ice fishing season. Just need to keep it in the fairway and get up and down to close it out. Hard to believe it's coming to a close already. Goes fast and I'm already getting excited for the open water season to begin. Looks like...
