I spent the last few days of this holiday and my birthday weekend combing the south stretch of the this massive body of water. Lots going on to say the least with super high water with current and forage always make for an interesting trip trying to figure it out. An interesting game it will be for both the Casino Cup and next springs Aim National Walleye Championship. Lots of water for these boys to cover including myself who grew up on this resivoir. Deep everything and main river channel is always a major player down here. Be prepared to lose a ton of tackle! This system goes from super low to super high and changed constantly. Lots of flooded cottonwood trees and diamond willow. And yes the fish love these things just about as much as the trees love our lures. Quite a few fish around in that 16 to 19 inch range. I’m finding it interesting that the fish down here are a tad bit skinnier than the fish up in the river system towards the north. But with the higher flows we have had all summer, again nothing is normal. I’m still taking bookings at a discounted rate until October 31st on the Missouri River System. Call or text me at(701) 471-8649 or email me off the website! I anticipate a good bite all the way to freeze up! You hunters coming into the state of your looking to kill an evening or two after your hunts, let’s dump the boat in the river and chase some scales for a few hours!
