If somebody knows how to shut this fan off, can you please get ahold of me with directions. Wow is all I can say this past few days. The tough part for me is I don’t see a break from the wind for a few more days yet.
In between the wind gusts we are catching some fish, and some really good fish. Hard to say how good it really is getting right now, simply because you can’t fish the areas and the spots like you want to. Pitching jigs is almost impossible.
So we have had to slowly pull jigs upstream, more vertical, and trolling. All of these techniques are working! Just like my last report, depth doesn’t seem to matter much. It’s more structure related and current related.
We did take a drive down river in the truck to check water conditions and boat ramps. It’s safe to say we have a lack of both. Beaver Bay and Langliers are out of commission. We drove in to the old low water ramp north of Beaver Bay, and it’s there. Just no way to use it as it sits. With a little dirt work I’m sure they could get it up and running. Casino Ramp is completely out of the water. We did not check the Rivery low water ramp.
So with all those ramps out of order this is going to put strain on the ramps to the north. Again, just like always be prepared to have patience getting in and out. Last Saturday on the river was a mess. I do have a few openings in May on the river if anyone is looking.
