Things are on fire out here on Devils Lake! Normally by this time of year I’m excited to head over to Lake Sakakawea, but this year it’s pretty even up!
What’s working on Devils Lake? Well…..everything! For myself and Percheyes.com guide crew right now, it’s super tough to beat a bobber with a jig tipped with a leech. Just something about watching a bobber go down! Spinners and night crawlers are also working well, and if you want to target bigger fish get the jigs and plastics out.
The lake is still rising and it’s a smorgasbord of food right now. Future looks bright! Lots of fresh areas to fish and for young if the year fry to hide.
I’ll be sliding over to Indian Hills next week to begin a month straight on Lake Sakakawea. There is going to be a ton of change up on Sak with the recent floods out in Montana. I anticipate a really strong bite up there all summer long!
I’ve have a couple gaps open up for both Devils Lake and Lake Sakakawea mostly in August if you are looking for a trip. Get ahold me!
