Mid Week Fishing Report-May 4th, 2022

So many things happening right now out on this river it’s hard to know where to begin. The good news is the fish are starting to show themselves in the slightly cleaner water, abs for this guide it makes life a heck of a lot better!

Spawn is definitely happening along with a small migrational push of fish. It seems to be different than years past. Normally, the fish to the south spawn first, and the fish to the north spawn later. However, with the dirty water we are experiencing, they are definitely mixed up.

The water is starting to clear a tad and the fish are reacting accordingly. With every passing day, things will continue to get better and better. I’m hoping by next week things are back to normal and we can go out abs just have fun. I’ll report more this weekend after the big muddy tournament.
