Mid Week Fishing Report-November 9th, 2022

Hard to believe, but I’m pretty sure our open water days for the 2022 season are pretty much over with, especially if this snow hits us like they are saying. Unless you go to the Tailrace or Nelson Lake, it’s safe to say you can start getting the ice fishing equipment dusted off.

Kinda makes me mad! The fish were just beginning to show up in better numbers near Bismarck on the river. Lake Sakakawea was dynamite right up until now, and Devils Lake was kicking out nice batches of fish. Seeing all these systems producing this fall does bold well for the upcoming ice fishing season.

For me, it’s spent 100 percent up on Devils Lake. All indications from recent net surveys conducted are pointing to a stellar winter. It also looks like ice fishing season will be here early as well. I’m seeing negative numbers in our temps upcoming. Crazy how fast things can change.

I’ll be reporting on ice conditions etc here now until go time in December. So plenty to report on. Also, if you are looking to book a trip this winter you better get ahold of me as things are filling fast.

I've personally had a goofy week up here on Devils Lake. With the storm events around us it definitely caused some interruptions. One of the interruptions was clients couldn't travel in to fish. So I definitely took a hit business wise with the weather. It's all part...
