No change for seen at the moment. I do believe we are dodging a huge huge bullet, missing the upcoming snow storm. Looks as though it will stay south. This is good new for the lakes around North Dakota and especially up here on Devils Lake.
It’s still a battle of snow and slush up here. You really have to be careful about where you go and what you are pulling while going there. One mishap and the tow ropes and shovels come out.
We are seeing a typical snow covered slow down bite. In order to have perch success you need to try and find some shallower fish and hope the sun comes out. On the cloudy days I would suggest trying to target walleyes on the mid depth structures.
We are staying diligent on finding good ice m/less slush and consistency in our fishing. It’s definitely a winter that will test you day in and day out. Lots of areas we would love to be fishing but we honestly can’t.
Not many days open in January but a few more in February. Get ahold of me if you are looking to go ice fishing.
