Missouri River Ice Fishing 1-1-18

So often we snub our noses at Northern Pike.  For some reason as a walleye angler we always go $%^# northern.  Why is this?  We caught other fish today, but for some reason this was the funnest fish we caught and honestly it will probably be the best eating.  We fished very close to Bismarck this afternoon through the ice and had a blast!  Ice was good and the company was pretty awesome too!  When you fish close to town around the Bismarck area through the ice don’t expect to catch a ton of fish.  Expect the unexpected for sure but it is always so fun to catch them close without burning tons of gas! So even if your catching Northern Pike, enjoy it!
