Mid Week Fishing Report- December 28th, 2022

Well, if I’ve said it once I’ll say it again. If you don’t have tracks of some sort, don’t even bother. More snow fell on the Devils Lake basin this past week. The ice is good, but I did experience a few slush pockets again today. I’m keeping my fingers crossed slush doesn’t take us out this winter.

Went out and ventured away from everyone and the results were very encouraging. We had fish on the screen all day long and managed to do pretty good all things considered. I really couldn’t find that one lure or technique that seemed to produce more than another. I played a lot of yo yo with fish. I have ti believe with this little warm up the fish will get into a better mood.

I was all set to begin a long consecutive stretch of days on the ice, but a group decided to not hold up to what they said they were bringing. So instead of working, I’ll be idol a few days here. I did offer up the 28,29,30th here on facebook so if you are looking to go. Get ahold of me asap.

The fishing is pretty good!
