If you are looking to catch fish and a lot of nice eating size fish. Look no further because Devils Lake is your destination!

I just had a couple week guiding stint there, and I am usually really excited to change things up for a bit. To be honest with you, it’s going to be hard to leave that type of fishing right now. Exceptional would be the best way to describe it.

The best part of Devils Lake right now, you can fish the lake anyway you want to catch fish. It’s incredible to me how Devils Lake and Sakakawea differ. Right now on Sakakawea you have to fish deep to catch fish. Not on Devils Lake though, the fish remain shallow and very accessible.

I am switching gears as I type and heading to Sakakawea for a couple weeks. Im hoping I can get on a consistent bite and be every bit as excited as am about Devils Lake right now. Stay tuned!
