My change of scenery up here to Devils Lake definitely hasn’t disappointed. However, I think if folks are fishing any of our major bodies of water like Devils, Sakakawea, Missouri River, or Lake Oahe, they are going to find unreal fishing right now.
It seems all cylinders are firing already this early summer season. Hopefully it holds on throughout the entire season! We are definitely spoiled her in North Dakota!
Up here on Devils Lake it’s nothing fancy. Wind blown shorelines casting and or bobbers with leeches, will do the trick. Water is warming up, and the fish are getting active. Things should stay hot up here for along time.
I still personally have a couple solid weeks up here before heading west to Sakakawea for awhile. I’m certainly going to try and continue to cast cranksbaits here until the weeds come up too high to do so.
I’ll continue to bring you reports from Devils Lake and I will also bring you tidbits of information on Sakakawea as we go or until I get up there.
I have some August and September dates available for guiding for both lakes if you are looking for a trip yet.
