ND Fishing Report-November 30th, 2025

For most of you are reading this, you are probably looking outside and seeing the white stuff gather on the ground.  It happened fast this fall.  Literally one day we were in a boat catching walleyes and the next day we were out shoveling snow.

So for now the boat is tucked away in the garage.  If we start to experience some nicer winter days, with sun and no wind, you may see me take it out up to the tailrace or maybe even Nelson Lake for some largemouth action.   If not I’ll wait until February to start getting it ready to go for another guide season.

Many of you know already that I’m no longer guiding Ice fishing.  This doesn’t mean I won’t be out ice fishing.  I’m still going to be on the ice in someway, shape or form.  I will be able to chase the bite in a much more casual manner this winter.

I will have a darkhouse spear shack set out this winter for rental on Sakakawea.  So if you are looking to try your hand at darkhouse spearing, get ahold of me!

I know many of you are anxious to get out ice fishing.  Please make sure to be extremely cautious as you venture out!  For me, I’ll wait a bit before venturing out.  No fish is worth the risk and there will be plenty of time for things to firm up a little more.

I’m excited to be able to fish some areas this winter I haven’t fished in almost 10 years being I was guiding full time up on Devils Lake.  Should be a fun and exciting winter!
