North Dakota Fishing Report-June 4th, 2023

The secret is out! North Dakota fishing right now is absolutely going bonkers pretty much everywhere you wet a line.

As most of you know who follow my reports, I’m currently up here on Devils Lake. No secret Devils Lake is always a top producer in the world of walleyes, and fishing in general.

Nothing fancy right now. Follow the wind and pick your choice of tactics and get after it. Lots of walleyes, pike, and bass to keep you busy. I will say this, the upper lakes above main Devils and Pelican are really on fire right now.

Things also sound like they are heating up throughout the entire Lake Sakakawea region. Certainly a little better way out west towards New Town. It also sounds like the eastern edge is kicking out some good fishing as well.

Along with Devils and Sakakawea, the Mighty Missouri River near and south of Bismarck Al the way down into the Lake Oahe region is producing good numbers of fish. For me this time of year down that way is troll the shorelines in the 8′ to 15′ depths.

I’m still up on Devils Lake here until mid June. I’ll be headed to Indian Hills Resort after that for about a month or so. I have a few scattered dates available for both but not a lot. Definitely more availability later August snd September. Get ahold of me if you are looking to fish!

Not much has changed since last week as far as the river near Bismarck is concerned.  I was hoping it would have made a little more progress.   It's definitely a weird ice season out there.  Normally the river freezes in big chunks.  This winter...
