Ice Fishing Report- December 17th, 2023

Sorry once again I’m a day late on this report. Been crazy hectic trying to get the ice fishing season rolling. Not to mention working on things for Ice Fishing Central. They have launched the walleye and panfish rods and I’m super excited.

As far as the ice fishing goes it’s been up and down. The ice has been slow to build creating some tough situations for us as guides. Very limited would be a great way to describe things. Up here on Devils Lake we are finding fishable ice. We are also finding some extremely troublesome areas.

Definitely need to be careful! Once you find fishable ice you may or may not find fish that want to corporate. When we have it’s very short lived because we have been unable to venture around looking for more . We just need sone cooler temps to build some more ice.

It will happen and I’m guessing in the very near future things are really going to ramp up.

Until then I will continue to bring you updates on my social media accounts on ice fishing central products and give you bits and pieces about how the fishing is going.

Honestly, if you are not an absolute diehard ice angler just be patient yet. No fish is worth the risk.

Most of this week was spent up on Devils Lake guiding. I know Devils has gotten a bad rap as of late.  I do think it a tad unfair to catagorize it  this way.  I touched on it a bit in last weeks report, but I'll touch on it again.  The fish you...
