Mid Week Fishing Report-October 26th, 2022

This weeks Mid Week Fishing Report is somewhat depressing, somewhat not. Depends on how we look at it I guess.

Sakakawea remains the place to be this fall. Fish are showing up again in decent numbers but even better quality. Jig raps remain the key presentation, the depths however change day by day. Good news is you can find plenty of fish shallow enough to catch and release on most days.

Sakakawea is the good news. The bad news is I decided to do a little cast and blast on the river south of Bismarck. We shot a couple birds, and caught some fish, but the fishing isn’t very good for this time of the year. It’s probably not gonna really happen this year. I’ve been out enough now where I have had a couple really good days. Problem is I’ve had more subpar days than rockstar.

I am booking a few trips now up on Sakakawea. Hopefully the weather holds here and we can go deep into November and get some more trips in. Fishing is way too good up on the Big Lake not to take advantage of it.

I've personally had a goofy week up here on Devils Lake. With the storm events around us it definitely caused some interruptions. One of the interruptions was clients couldn't travel in to fish. So I definitely took a hit business wise with the weather. It's all part...
