The weather forecast for the next 10 days has me a little depressed. It’s looking like my open water days are coming to an end.

Most of my fishing time has been spent on the Missouri River near Bismarck. Hopefully I’ll get a few more days in yet?

The fishing on the river has been decent. You definitely have to work for them. It seems like you need to cycle through a lot of spots in order to catch your fish. It also seems you seldom catch your fish in the same spot two days in a row.

Nothing fancy for me. Jigs and minnows are still the presentation of choice. The fish also don’t seem to be picking any one particular depth. I’ve caught them deep and I’ve caught them shallow.

Again, I do have a couple more trips yet this week before the weather comes in. My fingers are crossed we will get some warmer weather yet this fall!
